La Fabbrica del Profumo is a design object that merges aesthetics and functionality: a room diffuser made of wood, with laser-engraved details. The inspiration comes from Le Corbusier’s Towards a New Architecture, where the author celebrates primary forms and engineering works for their rationality, functionality, and emotional impact. The result is a “small happy factory” that, through fragrance, seems to come alive, releasing its scented “smoke” into the air.

The challenge was to transform a typically “cold” element—an industrial building—into a domestic object, warm and welcoming. The goal was to find a balance between architectural inspiration, functionality, and an emotional touch.
I worked on the form by reducing volumes to their essentials, evoking rational industrial architecture. Laser-cut wood allowed for geometric precision while also adding materiality and warmth.
An object that overturns the perception of the industrial, transforming it into a daily gesture of beauty and care for the home environment. A small piece of architecture that perfumes everyday life.
