The Challenge
Design a room diffuser that goes beyond pure functionality, becoming a genuine design object with cultural and emotional depth. The challenge was to translate an architectural and philosophical reference — Le Corbusier's celebration of primary forms and industrial rationality — into a domestic object that feels both rigorous and alive.
The Approach
The inspiration came directly from Towards a New Architecture: primary forms, engineering precision, and the emotional power of functional objects. I worked with wood and laser-engraved detailing to achieve a surface that references industrial manufacturing while remaining warm and tactile. The concept of the "small happy factory" guided every formal decision — an object that, through fragrance, seems to breathe and produce.
The Solution
The result is a room diffuser that functions as a miniature architectural monument. Through its geometry and materiality, it references the great engineering works Le Corbusier admired, while releasing its scented "smoke" into the air — transforming a functional act into a quiet, sensory spectacle.
