The Challenge
To refresh the visual identity of one of Rome's most iconic cocktail bars, located in the evocative industrial setting of the former Mulini Biondi (Ostiense district). The core challenge was to guide the brand toward its "2.0 evolution": transitioning from a club known for mixology and DJ sets into a multifaceted concept that integrates gourmet dining, all while preserving the "Social" soul and urban energy that made it a staple of Rome’s nightlife for a decade.
The Approach
The rebranding focused on the synthesis between the location's industrial heritage and the sophistication of the new offering. I developed an aesthetic that references raw materials (iron, concrete) but with a sharp, contemporary formal clarity. The logo and visual identity system were designed to be as "vibrant" as a live DJ set yet as solid as the reputation of the Coticoni family who runs it. The creative goal was to visualize the "Städlin Mood": inclusive, dynamic, and versatile enough to transition from morning brunch to late-night futuristic cocktails.
The Solution
Städlin’s new identity now communicates a complete sensory experience. Through bold design and a cohesive visual language across all touchpoints, the venue repositions itself as a creative hub where cuisine, music, and mixology engage in a perfect dialogue. The result is a brand that doesn't break from its past but elevates it, confirming Städlin as a definitive landmark in Rome for those seeking authenticity, innovation, and an inimitable atmosphere.
